| Cassandra Coats is a lifelong resident of Oklahoma and a native of Vinita. Mrs. Coats attended The University of Oklahoma where she graduated with a degree in Business Finance and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Mrs. Coats received her Juris Doctor from The University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she received the Nathalie Pierrepont Comfort Scholarship, the Am-Jur Academic Achievement Award in Legal Research and Writing I, and participated in the Robert J. Turner American Inn of Court as well as the Native American Law Student Association and the OU Legal Clinic. During law school, Cassandra worked as a licensed legal intern for private law firms in Oklahoma City and Edmond. Ward & Lee welcomed Mrs. Coats as a new partner in 2009. Already recognized as one of the top criminal defense firms in Northeast Oklahoma, Mrs. Coats expanded our firms practice areas to better serve our clients in any matter that they may be facing. At Ward & Lee, Mrs. Coats concentrates her practice on general civil litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, contracts, real estate law, estate planning and probate, guardianship, adoption, and deprived child cases.
In addition to her work for the Firm, Mrs. Coats currently donates her time in the community as a member of the Vinita Lions Club, Green Country University Women, and New Life Foursquare Church of Vinita.
Mrs. Coats is a member of the Craig County Bar Association, and the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Real Property Law, Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law, Financial Institutions and Commercial Law, Mineral Law, and Family Law Sections.
