Can I be required to do jail time with a deferred or a suspended sentence?
Yes. With a deferred sentence you can have a condition of jail time up to 90 days. With a suspended you can have a condition of jail time anywhere up to the maximum range of punishment. The only difference between the two is that a suspended sentence is considered a conviction and a deferred is usually not considered a conviction.
